The .NET Developer works in conjunction with application and technology teams with specific focus on the development and support of company integration products. This position works closely with Integration Architects to design and estimate work and is responsible for the development, testing, delivery and support of Integration solutions. The projects that this position works on may involve interaction with the customer during the project life cycle. The .NET Developer typically works with minimal supervision and reports into the Associate Director, Integration Solutions area. This position may also be assigned special project work from his/her department head as needed along with regular day-to-day responsibilities.


  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including .NET framework and SQL Server
  • Strong knowledge of object oriented programming, SQL, SSIS, C#, VB.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Strong analytical skills, strong interpersonal/communication skills, strong customer service orientation
  • Must possess requirements gathering, client relations, and documentation skills
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to effectively work with clients and ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to promote and work collaboratively with others and ability to constructively deal with conflict
  • Execute and monitor scheduled production related tasks in the system(s) and resolve any questions or issues as needed to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • SQL Server (Query construction, and basic administration), Integration Services and Analysis Services
  • Basic SharePoint knowledge.
  • IIS Server environments.


  • 4+ year's software or application development experience and must have .NET and C# experience that is recent.
  • Direct experience with implementing integrated solutions involving two+ applications and/or environments is desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field


  • Experience with real-time integration tools, ETL tools and reporting tools is a plus
  • Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Windows Communications Foundation (WCF), Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), and MVC ASP.NET knowledge a HUGE plus
  • Knowledge of Insurance software architecture and data structures is desired
  • Good understanding of Project Management principles and tools with SDLC methodology
